Privacy and deleting your account
What we store about you, how to download it, and how to delete your account.
We keep as little about you as we can, and you can take it with you or delete it whenever you like.
What we store
- your email address, so we can sign you in and send your emails
- your plan, digest settings and the topics, bills, MPs and peers you follow
- for the Individual plan, your subscription and receipts (we only keep the card type and last four digits, never the full number)
- messages you send us through the contact form
How long we keep it
Messages you send us through the contact form are kept for 2 years, then deleted.
We don't use advertising trackers or sell your details. Our anti-spam check on forms uses Cloudflare Turnstile.
Download your data
Go to Account and choose Download my data. You'll get a file with your account details, settings, topics and follows.
Delete your account
- Go to Account.
- Tick the box to confirm, then press Delete my account.
This removes your account, topics, follows, settings, sign-in sessions and any messages you've sent us through the contact form straight away. It can't be undone. If you have a paid subscription, cancel it first in Billing. If you own a team, cancel the Team plan first on the Team page. Until then, the delete button tells you what to cancel and nothing is deleted.
If you've paid us, we keep your invoices for 6 years after their date, because HMRC requires us to keep financial records. They're kept without your name, email address or card details, and then deleted.
