Following bills, MPs, peers and topics
How to follow a bill, an MP or peer, or a topic, and what counts towards your plan.
Following something tells TabledHQ to watch it for you and include it in your alerts and digests. You can see and manage everything you follow on your Following page.
Bills
Open any bill from the bills list and press Follow this bill. When the bill reaches a new stage (for example second reading or report stage), we'll let you know, along with related debates, votes and papers.
The Free plan lets you follow up to 3 bills. The Individual plan has no limit.
MPs and peers
Find a member on the MPs and peers page and press Follow. We'll pick up their written questions, votes, debates and statements from Parliament's records.
The Free plan lets you follow up to 3 MPs or peers. The Individual plan has no limit.
Topics
A topic is a saved search. Build one from New topic using plain words, or combine them:
ANDmeans both words must appear:housing AND rentORmeans either word is enough:tenancy OR tenantNOTleaves things out:housing NOT Scotland- Quotation marks keep words together:
"social housing"
As you build a topic we show a preview of recent matches, so you can see whether it's too broad or too narrow before saving it. The Free plan includes 2 topics and the Individual plan includes 10.
If you go over your plan's limits
If you move from Individual back to Free, nothing you follow is deleted. Anything over the Free limits is paused: we keep it but stop sending updates for it. Upgrade again, or unfollow something, and it carries on.
