Alerts and digests
How the email digest and hourly alerts work, and how the summaries are made.
TabledHQ can email you in two ways: a regular digest that rounds everything up, and hourly alerts for things you don't want to wait for.
The digest
Your digest groups new items by topic, bill and member. Each entry shows the title, the date, where it came from and a link to the original record.
- Free plan: no digest or alert emails. New matches for your topics and the bills, MPs and peers you follow show on your dashboard instead.
- Individual plan: a digest every morning, or weekly if you prefer.
Change the timing, or switch the digest off, in Digest settings.
Hourly alerts
On the Individual plan you can mark a topic for hourly alerts. We check for new matches every hour and email you only when there is something new, so a quiet day means no email.
How the summaries are made
The text in your digest is taken from the source itself. We store short extracts from each record (for example the opening of a written answer or the key lines of a debate contribution) and show those, in quotation marks, next to the link. We don't use AI to write the summaries, so you won't find wording we made up.
Extracts are a quick guide, not the whole story. Always open the original before you rely on something.
Stopping emails
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click stops that kind of email straight away. You can turn emails back on in Digest settings.
