Why a record is missing or late

Common reasons a parliamentary or policy record may not appear in TabledHQ straight away.

A record may be missing from TabledHQ or appear later than it was published by the original source. TabledHQ checks permitted public feeds on a repeating schedule, but it cannot control when a publisher releases, changes or temporarily withholds a record.

Common reasons

  • The source has not published it yet. A sitting, question, statement or consultation may be visible on the publisher's site before its feed is updated.
  • The record is outside your search window. Free and Individual plans cover different rolling periods. See Search tips.
  • A source filter is hiding it. Return to All sources or choose the source family you expect.
  • The record is not searchable in the text held. Some records contain limited text or fields that are not part of full-text search.
  • The source is updating or correcting the record. A later source update can change its title, date, status or link.
  • A source request failed temporarily. The Sources and licences page records source status and the last successful update.
  • The record is not in the current source scope. TabledHQ only indexes the source families listed on its Sources page; it does not promise to hold every public record.

What to try

  1. Check the spelling and try fewer words or an exact phrase.
  2. Use OR between alternative terms.
  3. Remove the source filter and search again.
  4. Check the date shown on the original source and compare it with your plan's search window.
  5. Check Sources and licences for a recent error or delayed update.
  6. Open the official source page directly if the record is time-sensitive.

A missing TabledHQ result does not prove that the official record does not exist. If you report a possible gap, include the public source link, title, date and the search terms you used. Do not include passwords, payment details or private information.

Updates and expectations

Some source families are checked at least hourly, while larger or slower feeds may use a longer refresh cycle. A source can also be temporarily unavailable or return a record without enough searchable text. TabledHQ does not claim to be a real-time or complete replacement for any official publisher.
